Listen to the Land

Hear the message coming from the Land.
 
Beware!  Though the Land is strong
  It also is fragile.
It provides for necessities of life,
  Listen to the Land.
 
Hear the message of joy and sorrow.  

Joy in ability to give sustenance
To mankind, plants, and animals.
Sorrow that the Land
  Is used indiscriminately.
 
Hear the message of balance.

Listen to the Land.
  Spare its ecological balance
Of micro and macro life.
  Listen and heed its call.
